Benjamin Robert Koons

I'm an assistant professor of philosophy at the Center for Thomistic Studies at the University of St. Thomas in Houston. I specialize in ancient philosophy, especially Aristotle. I’m also interested in the philosophical theology of Thomas Aquinas, contemporary hylomorphism, and the intersection between collective epistemology and religious epistemology.

I earned my A.B. in philosophy at Princeton and the B.Phil. in philosophy at Oxford. I earned my PhD from Yale in 2024, writing a dissertation titled "Aristotle's Privations" under David Charles.
